Combines Face Clamping and Collet Chucking in One Unit

The Face Clamp Chuck is designed to locate the workpiece using pin holes or pilot diameters as reference points. A floating jaw mechanism inside the chuck allows stable clamping even when the workpiece end face has thickness variations.

When combined with a special collet chuck, the workpiece can be gripped with high precision by the collet while the face clamp securely supports the end face, ensuring stable and accurate machining.

In addition, by utilizing a spring-clamp type special collet, both chucks can be actuated by a single power source, contributing to a more compact overall chuck design.

Superior Design

In conventional designs using lead grooves machined into the shaft, the jaw rotation mechanism inherently requires thrust-direction movement.

This model incorporates a helical spline mechanism, allowing the rotational and pull-back motions to function independently. As a result, no jaw pull-back occurs during jaw rotation.

This enables clamping on side grooves, allowing end-face machining to be completed in a single chucking operation.
